How Beautiful Is Sunday Morning in Saigon? Walking Through Vinhomes Central Park

Experience a Different Side of Saigon

When most people think of Ho Chi Minh City, they imagine busy streets filled with motorbikes, endless traffic, and vibrant nightlife.

However, on a Sunday morning, the city reveals a completely different personality.

I visited Vinhomes Central Park around 7:00 AM on a Sunday morning in June 2026, and what I found was one of the most peaceful and beautiful places in the entire city.

A Modern Park Inspired by New York's Central Park

Located beside the Saigon River, Vinhomes Central Park is often compared to New York's famous Central Park.

Surrounded by luxury apartments and the iconic Landmark 81, Vietnam's tallest building, the park combines modern architecture with expansive green spaces, creating one of the most impressive urban landscapes in Southeast Asia.

Standing beneath rows of palm trees while looking toward the skyline, it is easy to forget that you are in Vietnam.

The scenery feels remarkably similar to many modern cities around the world.

A City That Wakes Up Early

One of the first things I noticed was how many local residents were already enjoying the morning.

Some people were jogging along the riverside paths.

Others practiced yoga together on the grass beneath large shade trees.

Families walked with their children while elderly couples relaxed on benches surrounded by flowers and palm trees.

Instead of traffic noise, the sounds of birds, gentle conversations, and footsteps filled the park.

It was calm, refreshing, and surprisingly peaceful.

Beautiful Riverside Views

The riverside promenade offers spectacular views across the Saigon River.

Cargo ships slowly travel along the river while the skyline of Ho Chi Minh City rises in the distance.

Walking beside the water in the early morning sunlight creates a relaxing atmosphere that is difficult to find elsewhere in such a large city.

The combination of water, modern bridges, tropical trees, and skyscrapers makes this one of the city's most scenic walking routes.

Green Spaces in the Heart of a Modern City

One of my favorite parts of Vinhomes Central Park is the balance between nature and architecture.

Wide lawns, colorful flowers, sculptures, shaded walking paths, and beautifully landscaped gardens surround the residential towers.

Despite being located in one of the most modern districts of Ho Chi Minh City, the park never feels crowded or overwhelming.

There is plenty of space to walk, exercise, or simply enjoy the scenery.

My Impression

What impressed me most was that such a beautiful public park is completely free for everyone.

Many international visitors still imagine Vietnam as a developing country with crowded streets and traditional neighborhoods.

Places like Vinhomes Central Park tell a different story.

Modern infrastructure, clean public spaces, luxury residential buildings, and well-maintained gardens demonstrate just how quickly Ho Chi Minh City continues to develop.

Vietnam is progressing much faster than many people expect.

Best Time to Visit

Ho Chi Minh City becomes extremely hot during the middle of the day.

For the most comfortable experience, I highly recommend visiting during these hours:

Morning: 6:00 AM – 7:30 AM

Late Afternoon: 4:30 PM – 6:30 PM

The soft sunlight creates beautiful photography conditions, temperatures are much cooler, and you can experience the city's relaxed lifestyle at its best.

Final Thoughts

If you're looking for a peaceful escape from the busy streets of Saigon, Vinhomes Central Park is one of the best places to visit.

Whether you enjoy photography, morning walks, jogging, yoga, or simply relaxing beside the river, this park offers a side of Ho Chi Minh City that many tourists never experience.

For me, it is not only one of the city's most beautiful parks—it is also one of the best places to understand how modern, green, and livable Ho Chi Minh City has become.
