I visited Bui Vien Walking Street on the night of the 2026 FIFA World Cup match between England and Congo.

Before kickoff, the streets were already full of excitement. Groups of foreign visitors, many of them appearing to be from the UK and other European countries, gathered outside the bars. Some were singing, waving flags, and cheering for their team before the match even began.

Almost every bar and restaurant had large screens showing the game. People stopped walking to watch the match, while others enjoyed drinks with friends. The whole street shared the same excitement.

One of the most memorable moments was seeing dancers in colorful costumes performing in front of the giant screens while football fans watched the game. It was a unique mix of Vietnam's nightlife and the passion of the World Cup.

The match itself was full of drama. Congo scored first, but England came back in the second half with two goals to win 2–1. Every goal changed the atmosphere on the street.

My Thoughts

When the final whistle blew, England supporters celebrated together in the middle of Bui Vien Street. People cheered, sang, and enjoyed the moment with strangers who supported the same team.
