Apartments Worth Over $3 Million – Ho Chi Minh City’s Luxury Neighborhood Is Becoming as Expensive as New York

Apartments Worth Over $3 Million – Ho Chi Minh City

When many people think of Vietnam, they still imagine affordable living and low housing costs. That may still be true in some areas, but the story is very different in the heart of Ho Chi Minh City.

Luxury apartments along the Saigon River have become some of the most desirable properties in Vietnam, with prices for premium residences reaching well over $3 million USD. New high-rise developments continue to transform the city’s skyline, making District 1 look more modern every year.

During my walk around the Saigon Marina neighborhood, I was impressed by how peaceful the area felt despite being in the center of Vietnam’s busiest city. Wide sidewalks, beautiful landscaping, river views, and sleek residential towers created an atmosphere that reminded me more of a global financial city than the Vietnam many first-time visitors expect.

One of the biggest advantages of this neighborhood is its location. From here, you can easily walk to the Metro, the Japanese Town area, and many of District 1’s most popular attractions, making it an ideal place for both residents and long-term visitors.

My Experience

The biggest surprise came when I visited a friend’s apartment.

I expected a nice building, but I didn’t expect facilities that felt like a five-star resort. The complex featured a heated swimming pool, a modern fitness center, beautifully designed common areas, and even a sauna. It completely changed my impression of apartment living in Ho Chi Minh City.

Standing by the pool while looking out toward the city’s skyline, it was easy to forget that I was in Vietnam. The level of comfort and luxury felt comparable to what you would expect in cities like New York or Singapore.

Experiences like this made me realize how quickly Ho Chi Minh City has evolved over the past decade.

Recommendation

If you’re only interested in Vietnam as a budget travel destination, neighborhoods like Saigon Marina may completely change your perspective.

Instead of viewing these apartments only as an investment opportunity, I think they’re worth experiencing for yourself. Renting one for a month—or even longer—could give you a completely different view of life in Ho Chi Minh City.

Luxury facilities, beautiful Saigon River views, excellent walkability, and easy access to the city’s best attractions make this one of the most impressive residential neighborhoods I’ve explored in Vietnam.
