Hidden Gem Cafe in Saigon? Discover Vườn Thiên Giới in Thu Duc

When most travelers think about cafes in Ho Chi Minh City, they usually picture trendy coffee shops in District 1. However, one of the city’s most unforgettable cafes is hidden far from the tourist center.


Vườn Thiên Giới is a place that many international visitors have never heard of. Even its Vietnamese name may feel unfamiliar to foreign travelers. Located in Thu Duc, reaching the cafe takes a little more effort, but the experience is unlike almost anywhere else in Saigon.


The moment you walk through the entrance, you are welcomed by a beautiful flower garden. As you continue deeper inside, the scenery transforms into what feels like a tropical jungle. Towering trees, lush greenery, and winding pathways create the feeling of stepping into a hidden forest rather than a city cafe.


One of the most impressive sights is the enormous fountain shooting a column of water high into the sky. Nearby, an old railway track disappears into a cave, while waterfalls flow over massive artificial rock cliffs. The entire environment is so detailed that it hardly feels like an artificial attraction.


I visited on a Sunday evening around 6 PM. The cafe was filled with young Vietnamese couples, families, and groups of friends enjoying the end of the weekend. As sunset approached, performers began preparing for a live music show on the main stage. Watching local people relax with drinks while listening to live music created a peaceful atmosphere that felt very different from the busy streets of central Ho Chi Minh City.


My drink was a fresh pineapple juice, and the entrance fee was already included in the 120,000 VND drink price. Considering the size of the grounds, the gardens, waterfalls, and live entertainment, it felt like excellent value.


If you are searching for a hidden destination beyond the usual tourist attractions, Vườn Thiên Giới is well worth adding to your itinerary. It is one of those rare places where you can escape the city’s traffic, enjoy nature, and experience a relaxing evening that many visitors never discover.





My Recommendation


If you want to experience a hidden gem in Ho Chi Minh City instead of another ordinary cafe, Vườn Thiên Giới is absolutely worth visiting. The combination of lush gardens, dramatic waterfalls, live music, and a relaxing local atmosphere makes it one of the most unique cafes I have visited in Vietnam.

World Cup 2026 Night in Vietnam | Bui Vien Walking Street, Saigon

  Filming Date July 2, 2026 Time 11:00 PM Location Bui Vien Walking Street, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City Atmosphere I visited Bui Vien Walking Street on the night of the 2026 FIFA World Cup match between England and Congo. Before kickoff, the streets were already full of excitement. Groups of foreign visitors, many of them appearing to be from the UK and other European countries, gathered outside the bars. Some were singing, waving flags, and cheering for their team before the match even began. Almost every bar and restaurant had large screens showing the game.
